For B.Ed. students, mastering ICT opens doors to innovative teaching methods, improved classroom management, and global opportunities. As institutions invest in digital tools and training, the future of education becomes brighter, more inclusive, and technology-driven. By integrating ICT effectively, B.Ed. programs can produce educators who are not just teachers but also leaders in digital education.

Components of ICT

  Main Components of ICT: 1. Hardware : These are the physical parts of a computer system such as monitor, keyboard, mouse, printer, CPU, projector, etc. 2. Software : Software refers to the programs and applications that run on hardware, such as MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and educational software. 3. Data : Data means raw facts and figures that are processed into meaningful information, like marks, names, or records. 4. People (Users): People are the users who operate ICT tools — teachers, students, and other professionals. 5. Procedures : These are the rules and methods used to collect, process, and share information properly. 6. Networks : Networks connect computers and devices together to share data and resources (e.g., Internet, LAN, Wi-Fi).
